The core application comprises 4 survey questions for you to respond to. You will also be asked for information on your education provider, course, and any extracurricular activities/interests.

This survey should take you approximately 1 – 1.5 hours, but there is no time limit so you can complete in your own time.

At this stage, we will seek your permission to store any personal data and to use any images/video recordings captured before and on your day of shadowing.

The Odgers Berndtson team will review all applications. We will invite a group of applicants to stage two of the process – a discussion (45 minutes) with one of the Odgers Scotland team (Peter, Cara, Andrew, Karen) to explore your application in more detail. This will not be a formal interview, but an opportunity to get to know you better. We will be interested in understanding why you’re interested in the programme, what you’d seek to bring and to learn, amongst other areas.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to invite all applicants to this stage. We will of course ensure that everyone who has taken the time to apply is notified of the status of their application and is notified of any future programmes.

Following the discussions with Odgers Berndtson, all applicants will be notified of the outcome. For a reduced and successful group of candidates, this will be notification of your match (done at random) with a leader. We will then work closely with you to guide you through any next steps (bios, scheduling, agendas, travel etc.) in advance of the day of shadowing in November. We will be there to answer any questions throughout.

The ScotlandLeaderx1Day programme is open to all undergraduates studying in Scotland. Applicants must have flexibility to attend a video (Teams/Zoom) discussion with Odgers Berndtson in October (45 minutes) and one day for shadowing a leader in the second half of November.

All travel expenses will be reimbursed, subject to pre-approval by Odgers.
